County struggling

Struggling Stockport County take on an in-form Kidderminster Harriers side who currently occupy one of the Blue Square Premier’s play-off places. Edgeley Park is the setting for my next pick as 19th placed Stockport County look for a rare three points to ease their relegation worries as they sit above Kettering Town courtesy of a slightly better goal difference. County are enduring a torrid spell of form at the moment with just one win in their last fourteen matches, whilst their home form reads one win in their last ten. Their home record stands at 3-5-7 19/23 and have the fourth worst home record in the division. What is more worrying is that they haven’t performed well at all against the top six teams with defeats against Fleetwood Town, York City, Gateshead and a point against visiting Luton back in September. Leading scorer Tom Elliott (5 goals) shows that goals have been hard to come by for County, whilst their defence have kept a clean sheet on just three occasions at home so far.

Kiddy on form

Kidderminster make the trip up north on the back of just one loss in their last twelve league matches which has seen them lift into a play-off position. The Harriers possess the fourth best away record in the division which stands at a creditable 8-2-5 26/22, with only Fleetwood Town (35 goals) scoring more on the roads than them. They’ve also performed well against the lower half teams of the division with wins over Lincoln City, Newport County, Hayes & Yeading and Alfreton Town as well as wins over the top teams such as Cambridge United and York City. Forward Jamille Matt (11 goals, 7 assists), Nick Wright (8 goals) and striker Stephen Guinan (6 goals, 4 assists) are an example of their firepower and this should be in evidence when they turn up at Edgeley Park.

Harriers to prove too strong

Stockport are struggling while Kiddy are in form and possess numerous attacking options; I’ll back them for the straight win at a good price.
