Many absences

San Lorenzo have many sidelined players for this match. First of all, two players were sent off against lanus in the previous round - Nicolas Bianchi Arce and Fernando Meza. They are both defenders and their absence is a big handicap. But that`s not all. Gaston Aguirre and Bernardo Romeo are definitely out, while Carlos Bueno is rated as doubtful. By the way, San Lorenzo was heavily defeated in the first round, they lost 4:1 from Lanus.

Without Veron

Estudiantes started the Clasura with a draw against Newell`s Old Boys. Mauro Boselli continued his excellent scoring form with another goal. For this match Estudiantes will be without the suspended Juan Sebastian Veron. He picked up his fifth yellow card and since the cards received in Apertura count for Clausura, he is suspended. The good news is there are no new injury worries, making German Re the only absent player.

Estudiantes is better

I think Estudiantes is better team at the moment. I am not going with straight victory as they will be missing Veron, but I can`t see San Lorenzo winning this match. San Lorenzo handicap is even bigger, four players are out due to suspensions and injuries (Nicolas Bianchi Arce, Fernando Meza, Gaston Aguirre and Bernardo Romeo). Estudiantes won the last time they visited Estadio Pedro Bidegaín with 1:0 on 03.10.2010. I believe they will be successful once again.
