England Premier League match preview: QPR - Wolves

New signings for staying up

QPR brought two stars and excellent attackers to help them in a survival mission. Djibril Cisse has already scored on his debut against Aston Villa while Bobby Zamora was signed just too late for being available for that match. It is believed that Mark Hughes will start with his new attacking duo in a clash with direct rivals for staying up in Premier League. QPR won four points from last two matches and they are looking for a crucial win which could be the deciding step of the season. A win would leave Wolves six points behind and they could enter next matches bit easier. Hughes can’t count on Campbell, Dyer and Bothroyd but a line up with Barton, Wright-Phillips, Cisse and Zamora is surely promising a lot.

Dispirited

Side of Mick McCarthy are having big problems. Away from home, they seem to be doing a good job, but when it comes to home matches it feels like they aren’t the same squad. They have lost last two games at home, defeat against Aston Villa (2-3) really affected the team and last midweek showed it well. Really bad display both in defence and in attack resulted in a crushing 3-0 defeat against Liverpool and to be honest, Dalglish’s side isn’t really a best away team. It’s not really a disaster that they have lost the match, but the way they have conceded all three goals should worry everyone in this club. McCarthy will miss only Zubar for this match and will try to improve the bad picture.

Home win

The fact is that Wolves haven’t lost in last three away games, as all of those ended 1-1. But the bigger fact is that they are playing very bad football lately and I don’t believe that Mick McCarthy managed to raise the spirit of his team after two consecutive defeats. I expect a really interesting match, both teams will give everything they have in order to beat direct opponents for survival in Premier League. I honestly believe that QPR will be the winning side here, they have a better team and they are playing in front of their own fans. Medium stakes on home win, good luck.
