Looking to bounce back

Osasuna have had a remarkable campaign so far, as they have lost only 4 league matches so far (only Barcelona and Real have suffered less defeats). However, they are on a downtrend lately, after a bad streak of 6 league and Cup games without win (3 draws and 3 defeats), so they will be desperate to bounce back. Pamplona remains a hard place to visit (5 wins, 4 draws, 1 defeat) and it has usually been a forbidden land for Atletico (8 defeats and 1 draw in 11 trips), despite the fact that they have won last season`s tie (3-2).

Much improved under Simeone

The guests are stuck on mid-table (10th place), far away of their ambitions, but if they are able to keep the same pace they have had since Diego Simeone`s appointment, they can dream at the last Champions League spot. Under the new boss, Atletico have drew at Malaga (0-0), before trashing Villarreal at home (3-0) and Sociedad on the road (4-0). Falcao have been in tremendous form lately, scoring 5 goals in his last 2 games. Playmaker Diego and holding midfielder Gabi are suspended.

This should be a very close affair between neighbours in the table (9th against 10th). Atletico is in better shape and have the better roaster, however, Osasuna boast a great home record and hold the edge in the head-to-heads. The guests are narrow favorites, but considering their poor away record so far (1W 2D 6L), I think that a draw is much more probable here.
