Looking to surprise once again

Napoli have had a great Champions League campaign this therm, at their come-back season in the most prestigious European competition in modern era. They have qualified from the toughest group, with Bayern, Manchester City and Villarreal, having left out of the competition the free-spending Citizens. They are only 6th in Serie A, but they are a force at their Stadio San Paolo, as the big guns have already found this season (Milan, Man. City and Inter have been defeated, Bayern and Juventus escaped with a point).

Andre Villas-Boas under pressure

Andre Villas-Boas is under huge pressure, as his Chelsea side is hugely disappointing at the moment. The Blues are only on 5th place in the Premier League, with no real chance to fight for the title (15 points behind Man. Utd, 17 shy off City), so a good Champions League campaign could save the season. Chelsea is without a win in four games in all competitions (3 draws) after being held by Championship side Birmingham City in the FA Cup on last match.

Close affair

I expect a close affair in this game, with the outcome of the double tie being decided on second leg. Napoli is in better form and will be supported by 80.000 fanatics, however, they are far more less experienced than Chelsea at this level (they have played 6 Champions League games compared with Chelsea`s over 100 matches). Mazzarri`s priority is not to concede, so I expect a slow start, with neither of the sides rushing out on attack.
