Terrible night against Gent

Mechelen were trashed 6:2 by Gent in the previous round and that big loss came just after a 1:0 win over Westerlo, that ended a 7-match winless for KV in the league. Now I think there will be psychological barrier in front of the Mechelen players and it`s very important for them to jump over it. It`s high time for the strikers to start scoring more often - only Dialiba is contributing so far, while the likes of Vanderbergh, Wilmet and Destorme are struggling to make an impact. Midfielder Gorius is the strongest figure with his 6 goals, three of them being game-winning ones. 3-0-3 for Mechelen at home this season and 7:8 goal difference.

Struggling away from home

Zulte Waregem are doing not bad at home, but their away form is really below par. The team has scored only 4 goals and earned 3 points from 6 games and that`s the main reason behind their 13th place in the table. Zulte are on a poor run, not being able to win in the last 5 league games and that`s really bad for them, because they met the three worst teams so far in the league (Westerlo, Sint Truiden and Lierse). Together with Westerlo, Zulte Waregem are 2nd worst in scoring goals with 11 goals for. 0-3-3 is their away form this season with 4:9 goal difference.

A tough match to predict

Two suffering sides are meeting each other and I think the three points will give a lot of strength to the winners here. In my eyes the hosts have a big weapon in the shape of midfielder Gorius, who has scored 13 goals in the previous season and netted 6 times so far this season. He will be the main threat for the guests and I think Zulte won`t be able to cope with the Frenchman. Gorius will score in this game, IMO.
