EC 2012 match preview: Macedonia - Germany

The fans are 8th player

Macedonia started the European Championship with a big success. They managed to play 26:26 with the big favorite Sweden. Even more, Macedonia have the last attack and was very close to the victory. However, the players and the fans are very satisfied with the result. Another success against Germany will secure the second stage. Kire Lazarov has cored 7 goals against Sweden, but didn`t play as good as he knows. That is why I am expecting Lazarov to explode against the Germans. Finally, I must mention the key of the success - the fans. They were the 8th player against Sweden and no doubt they will be that once again with Germany. It is a big advantage for the Macedonian players.

Bad start

Germany started the European championship very bad. They were defeated from Czech Republic with 24:27. The best scorer in German national team was Lars Kaufmann with five goals. Still, that was not enough for a positive result. Nobody expects Germany will easily win, but I am sure nobody expects Germany will loose. Now the biggest problem is the broken confidence of the players.

Macedonia is able for another surprise

I expect another surprise from the Macedonian players. Their confidence was very big even before, but after the good performance against Sweden is even bigger. The fans are part of the success, they occupy the "Cair" hall in Nis and gave the biggest possible support to their players. It is clear this situation will be repeated against Germany. Macedonia play virtually at home. I am sure the key player Kire Lazarov will play much better here. That is why I am suggesting Macedonia in handicap. I think Macedonia is able to win, but this option is safer.
