Coupe De France match preview: Dijon - PSG

Their goal is to avoid relegation

Dijon is having tough times in Ligue 1. The team lost their last two games in a row and also have just one win in their last five games (1-1-3). They are currently on 16th place, three points ahead of the relegation zone, so the team have to concentrate mainly on the games in the league. Dijon is the team that had conceded the most amount of goals in France so far this season (41 in 22 games). In the previous rounds Dijon won against Istres (2:1 at home) and Versailles (5:1 as visitors). The team will be again without their regular goalkeeper Chaher Zarour (15/0).

Take the cup seriously

PSG have always taken the cup seriously. The team have played the incredible four finals (two won, two lost) in the last six years and also two finals in the last two years in a row. Also coach Carlo Ancelotti is a winner and when he was with Milan he played with 100% will to win in every game. PSG is currently on first place in Ligue 1 and has four wins in a row. The team have just one defeat as visitors so far this season (6-3-1). The big missing will be Javier Pastore (18/7), but PSG won their last two games even without him. Siaka Tiene is also unavailable.

Away win

PSG without any question is the best club in France right now. The team will go for the double this year and I wouldn`t be surprise if they do it. They have great players and in the winter transfer window even managed to strenghten their squad with a couple of new signings. The interesting thing is that four months ago PSG lost 2:3 as visitors against Dijon (was leading 2:0) for the league cup and was eliminated from them. So this is another reason for the team to get revenge on Tuesday.
