In the middle of the table in Second division

Chavdar Etropole are playing in the Western B Group and are currently 6th in the table with 15 points, 13 less than leaders Pirin Gotse Delchev. The team doesn`t have direct aims of winning promotion - it is oriented into developing talents and Hristo Stoichkov`s youth school is based in Etropole. Chavdar suffered a big setback recently, as captain Petar Tonchev (winger) and Radko Mutafchiyski (defender) left the team. Coach Atanas Atanasov relies on youngsters and there are some exciting prospects, namely Diego, Tomi Kostadinov, Stanislav Kraev, Ivaylo Chochev, Georgi Pashov... In the previous round the team had no problems against Urvich, winning 5:0, but now they meet an elite team, that will try to win the cup. Only once this season Chavdar have managed to score more than once at home - in the 2:2 draw against Sportist. 1-3-1 is Chavdar`s record at home with 6:6 goal difference.

Having some problems recently

Lokomotiv are not in their best shape right now. Macedonian coach Dragan Kanatlarovski was sacked and all the Serbians were removed from the staff and now Emil Velev is coaching "The Smurfs". The win over Botev Vratsa was followed by a uninspiring draw against Minyor in match with quite a few goalscoring opportunities. Fans are against players Younes Bengelloun and Serginho, losing patience with their approach to the games. Only veteran Zdravko Lazarov is a constant performer, being helped by Basile de Carvalho and Dakson. Lokomotiv are not very dangerous away from home, scoring in only 3 visits out of 8.

This should be a tight game

Chavdar not so easy team to beat and I think the hosts will have a cautious approach here, closing the spaces for the guests and pressing with youth blood and energy. We must not forget that this Etropole team played a cup semi-final two seasons ago, using a pragmatical style of play. I think the under 2.5 goals odds are just ridiculous here and there`s big value in them. I think we will see 0:0, 0:1 or 1:1.
