Best African team

Angola is best African team and on this championship show very good handball. They achieved good result with going into best eight and made some strong results on their way. They won Iceland 28:24, China 30:29 and Germany 25:22in deciding game and knock them out. In 1/16 final they were better then Korea 30:29 and they couldn’t fight with handball powers like Denmark and Russia. They also lost in group from two other handball powers Montenegro and Norway and today they will have chance for another success since Croatia is not top class team.

Achieved their target

Croatia achieved similar results like Angola since won all their matches except ones against top class teams like. They had easier group with teams like Argentina, Uruguay and Ivory Coast which won them all but also Sweden which is weakest of Scandinavian teams. They won in 1/16 finals against disappointment Romania in close game and lost games against top teams Denmark and Norway and hosts Brazil. They already achieved their target which was Olympic games qualifications.

Equal teams so value on Angola

Croatia is set as big favorite in this game but I can’t agree with that. As already mentioned both teams have similar results with wins against weaker or equal opponents and losses from top class teams, but Angola is more experienced team since are regular participant of World Championships. I expect bigger motivation from their side in this game after big los from Russia while Croatia can be little disappointed from close loss against Brazil. I rate both teams equal and 4 goals handicap is big in such case, if we add bigger experience and bigger motivation I can see nice bet on Angola. I think they are able even to win this game but I will leave that for braver ones.
