Match preview: Munoz-De La Nava - Querrey 2010-05-11 (ATP Masters Madrid)

Weak

Daniel Munoz-De La Nava is one of the weakest players participating in the main draw of this year`s Masters in Madrid. He currently holds low 315th spot in the ATP rankings, and considering the fact he is 28 years old, I see very small chances he will ever achieve something bigger than getting this far at one Masters. Although I never watched him play, from what I know, he is a left-handed player, who naturally plays on challengers/futures mostly, and who has very little strengths in his game. He`s had a horrible season, losing in the first or second round of every challenger he played, getting defeated with no problems to players like Bozoljac, Berankis or King-Turner, while his best result is surely title at the only futures tournie he played. He was pretty convincing in these qualies, beating 127th Souza, and 228th Alcaide both in straight-sets, but I think he will get down to the ground quickly against Querrey. bet now

Progressing quickly

Sam Querrey is in a very good form at the moment. He played some of his best tennis, on his least favorite surface clay in 2010, and it`s interesting he is 7-3 on clay compared to 1-7 on hard but anyway, what he`s shown in Belgrade last week was really impressive. He primarily fought very hard and showed a huge desire to win each match, and made big comebacks against both Andreev and Isner, even facing MPs against the fellow American, but he remained stable and played terrific when it mattered the most. His other title on clay came in the domestic tournie in Houston about a month ago, so all in all, Querrey has plenty of reasons to hope for more positive results on this surface, and in the upcoming Masters and Grand Slam in Paris later on. online betting

Cleaning the court

If Querrey shows no signs of tiredness from two days ago and his Belgrade title, this should equal to a nice practice before the more important clashes in Madrid. Sam Querrey is serving perfectly, while he is really good on the backhand side and the returns, and I doubt De La Nava will even be able to win too many games in this match at all as Querrey is a serious player, who plays aggressive from the start and simply possesses way too much quality for De La Nava's standards. The odds are really not something special, but I think Querrey will unlikely drop too many games here and this should be close to a banker. Can`t see him struggling much here against a much weaker player, so 2:0 in Querrey`s favor will be my other bet of the day. GL. bet online
